Growing Up or Growing Old?

Growing up or growing old
Gaining wisdom or a stockpile of knowledge cold
Our bodies mature but what about our attitudes
Do we do what we are told without examination or question?
Religion most certainly has some suggestions
God will give us our free will and behavioral latitude
And angels will help guide us in the enlightened direction
Trouble not your minds, you are God's child
He will call you home in His time
But while you are here stick with wisdom
It will point the way into God's kingdom
