Mistaken For A Cardinal

During my morning tea
A female cardinal visited me
She made eye contact and started chirping
I couldn't understand why she was lurking
Then I realized my robe of red
Must have made her loose her head
If only for the brief moment that she stayed
But she flew off when the sounds that I made
Discouraged her, so to another branch she flew
Well, for a short time I was a cardinal too!
