Old acquaintances should be renewed
Newer ones should be pursued
Resolutions are to keep or discard
Should the resolve be kept if the going gets hard?
In my lifetimes retrospect
Lessons hard earned are lessons well kept
Here's to family, love, friendship, and laughter
Raise your glass to the New Year and the days that come after!
With a reverent nod to the past and a hopeful prayer for the future unsure
Invest heavily in the here and now
Where reality sometimes bites but always endures.
