Prelude to a Mother's Prayer/ A Mother's prayer

It is said,"Don't be anxious about anything," and in so many words we should bring our wants, needs, and fears to God, but have we really heard? Aren't we really requesting our own solutions to our problems be brought to full fruition? Anxxiety or trust, what would be most healing? A look at our prayer life should prove most revealing.

A Mother's Prayer

"Oh my God Thy will be done, but could You give me my way on just this one?
I know You are greater than me
But I have some thoughts on the matter, don't You see?
It's not for me I pray but for my family
So if You would, please talk to me!
What's that You say? It's not my business
To guide them on life's path at my insistance!
Well! Hey! I thought that was what I was supposed to do!
Ooohhh! You want them to turn to You!
That is quite risky I must say
Since one of them has already turned You away.
You want me to bring only my behavior to You.
I should trust in Your word even when I haven't got a solution or a clue.
Hmmmm....Trust in You because You know what You are doing.
The healing power of Your love is worth persuing.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words,
So maybe through me You can be seen without
My agenda being heard."

Amen
