CAT!!!

Cat! Eat you dry food and stop complaining!
Your pacing and yowling are really quite draining!
Wet food, wet food, hurry if you please
Wet food or dry food it's all the same to me!

I fed you, I watered you, I scooped you, SO THERE!
Meow, yowl, and pace away. I really don't care!
Pick me up, pet me, pay attention to me!!!
Whatever is in your fur is making me sneeze!

I've pet you, I've hugged you, I've groomed you, you know?
So any more boo hoos and I'll be forced to go
Upstairs to my room so I can read in my chair
And you can lie on my bed and solemnly stare.

So flick your tail, clean your fur and keep on glaring
This is one pet owner who still isn't caring!
Move over! Get off of my book! Sit next to me if you must!
Just quiet down and stay still, and for goodness sake don't fuss!

I'll scratch your head, your neck and your face
Just as long as you stay in one place!
Then when I 'm done you're off and on the run
Onto the bed you lay and squint and stretch in the noonday sun.
