Could've, Should've, Would've but Didn't

I could've called you.
I should've called you .
I would've called you.
But I didn't call you.

What if I had called you?
What would've you said?
"You should've called sooner!"
I would've called if I thought you wouldn't say,"You should've called."
So although I could've called,
I didn't call because I knew what you would've said.

I am who I am,
So if I could've called you, I would've.
There shouldn't have to be any should'ves.
Then there wouldn't have to be any would'ves.
And I wouldn't have to make excuses why I didn't.
