Lilies

Lilies standing tall and proud
Painted in blood orange, passionate pink, and in your face yellow
Your attentive faces uplifted towards a patch of brilliant sun
As if in silent communion, the creature with the creator
Your bodies swaying in agreement and silent understanding
You are His chosen ones, trumpeters of peace and beauty
God's silent witness is your bond and duty
Angelic birdsong and the percussion of the leaves
Make a loving stage set and draw attention to these

Proud and strong beauties painted orange, pink and yellow
Sh!!! Show some reverence you bushy tailed fellow!
